Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a ceremony, Sheikh al-Qattan, head of the "Our Word and Deed" association, opened his address by stressing the concepts of piety and brotherhood among Muslims. "The first message is one of kinship and the unity of the Islamic Ummah, for true strength lies in Muslim cohesion and solidarity," he stated.
Asserting that victory over enemies can only be achieved through national and Islamic unity, the cleric called on the Lebanese people to unite against the "Zionist-American enemy," emphasizing that repeated Israeli aggressions against Lebanon demand a unified national stance.
Sheikh al-Qattan categorically declared that normalizing relations, engaging in direct negotiations with the Israeli enemy, and surrendering to its will are religiously forbidden (haram). He underscored the imperative of rejecting any direct talks with Israel or any relinquishment of land and holy sites.
The Lebanese Sunni scholar further urged the Islamic Ummah to recognize its enemy and unite against it, warning that the danger posed by Israel is not confined to Palestine and Lebanon but threatens all Arab and Islamic countries, including the Persian Gulf states.
On domestic Lebanese affairs, Sheikh al-Qattan stressed that security and stability in Lebanon can only be guaranteed through the solidarity of the people, the army, and the resistance—a formula he described as the nation's shield against foreign aggression.
He paid tribute to every martyr, fighter, and wounded defender of Lebanon, commending the role of the steadfast combatants in the south as "the pride and honor of the Lebanese people."
Addressing the displaced populations of the south and certain villages in the Bekaa Valley, Sheikh al-Qattan called for patience and perseverance, assuring them that their sacrifices will not be in vain and that victory, by God's will, is inevitable.
The cleric voiced unwavering confidence in the eventual triumph of nations confronting occupation, asserting that God does not grant victory to the arrogant. "Victory belongs to the people of Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, and every resistance fighter across the Arab and Islamic world," he declared.
Sheikh al-Qattan further commended Iran's steadfastness against mounting pressures and acts of aggression, framing its success as a victory for all free people across the globe, irrespective of their religious or sectarian affiliations.
He concluded his remarks with the declaration: "Victory, by God's permission, is near." Quoting the Qur'anic verse—"If you help Allah, He will help you and make firm your steps"—he called on Muslims to exercise patience, perseverance, and complete trust in God.
